My Journey
I am a Light and Shadow Worker practicing from the Western coast of Sri Lanka, the sparkling ‘pearl of the Indian Ocean’.
Since childhood I felt a calling towards spirituality, which often took the form of an intermittent, intense desire to meditate and learn the Buddhist scripture. Riding the waves of life as I was at the time, I could not commit to my practice in any consistent manner; although there was always that urge to follow the little voice in my heart, which would make itself heard quite loudly once in a way through the trials of life. In my 20’s, I developed a keen interest in all things esoteric and metaphysical, from witchcraft to palmistry and everything in-between! And I dipped my fingers and toes in quite a few of them, much to the amusement of my friends and the trepidation of my family!
However, it was only after I entered the third decade of my life that my spiritual consciousness started to blossom, and awaken into a deeper and broader stream of understanding; and I started to gain a more nuanced appreciation of the infinity and fluidity of spirituality as much as its grace and sublimity, and the myriad forms and ways in which it manifests in one’s life. This, however, came through many a dark night of the soul that created the cracks for the light to seep in to my consciousness ever so patiently. On hindsight, I can say with utmost clarity that I have been led by the divine in the most miraculous ways down various hidden pathways, across rickety bridges and through dark dungeons, to help me evolve and transform, and find my path to the centre. The forces of nature and my guardian angels were there to lift me up every time I stumbled (or jumped off a rocky mountain!). In 2021, after a particularly testing phase in my life, I finally decided to follow my calling and left a very fulfilling 15-year career in child rights advocacy and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), to become a full-time psycho-spiritual practitioner, creative intuitive, and energy healer.
Since then, I have embarked on a lifelong spiritual quest in search of alignment and equilibrium, the ‘middle path’ that would take me to my centre, my being, and my peace. I am dedicating my time to exploring the mystical and the metaphysical, and learning the language of the divine, which is expressed in myriad ways through the most mundane as well as the exquisite. I take delight in solitude, and listening to the windchimes making music with the birds and squirrels outside my studio, and attuning myself to the rhythm of Mother Gaia as she breathes life into the plants and flowers in my little garden. What I enjoy the most though is the connection and interpretation of signs and symbols – whether they come through dreams, a walk in nature, or the ongoing scenes of waking life – the divine breadcrumbs that are scattered throughout our days and lives, creating this fascinating lexicon of synchronicity that make up the story of our destinies.
