This Suwa Mandala was created for a loved one whose deepest prayer is to lead a soul-aligned life of freedom and independence, which was the intention for this Suwa Mandala.
As I was channelling Archangel Metatron and Mother Gaia, the symbols I received included the Eagle and Garuda (a mythic version of the eagle), 2 spheres being balanced on either side of a plank, number 9 and a sigil for freedom.
Garuda is a celestial creature depicted in Hindu mythology, and is considered to be the vehicle of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of cosmos. This iconic figure that has the body of an eagle embodies and is seen as a symbol of power, strength, courage, bravery and fearlessness, qualities needed by the person for whom this Suwa Mandala was designed, in order to overcome the challenges in her life and reach her goal of freedom and independence. This majestic heavenly bird is also known for its unshakable loyalty, protection, wisdom and enlightenment – the ultimate liberation. Interestingly, the manner in which Garuda freed his mother from slavery lends itself aptly to the theme of this mandala.
Throughout the world, the Eagle spirit animal symbolizes freedom, nobility, strength and power. The medicine the Eagle offers also include the qualities of an excellent warrior, including determination, courage, and the ability to defend oneself and push past one’s own limits; wisdom and intuition; loyalty, sincerity, honesty, truth, honour and justice; the visionary ability and sense of observation to gain a higher and a more detached perspective, in order to better assess situations, make informed choices and find solutions; hindsight, efficiency and insight to better manage challenges and opportunities; great concentration and patience, and the focus to stay on course without getting distracted, in order to reach goals efficiently; self-confidence to make choices and decisions, take more initiative and be more active, to take the lead without fear of others and of failure, and lead in resolving conflicts and confronting problems. Consolidating the message of the 2 spheres, the Eagle also represents the balance between heaven and earth. While soaring high into the heavens while keeping a keen eye on the ground, it encourages balancing the need for freedom with earthly responsibilities. Thereby, this spirit animal is here to remind the recipient of this Suwa Mandala that even as she aspires to fly high towards her dreams, she needs to stay grounded. As she stands on a crossroad, awaiting the winds of change, the Eagle as a symbol of rebirth is here to encourage her to renew her perspective, reinvent herself and turn a new leaf with strength and courage, guiding her on her journey of transformation and growth[1].
The Sphere, in Sacred Geometry, is representative of limitless possibilities, and therefore, freedom. In the vision I received, the 2 spheres balanced on either side of the plank were rolling from side to side, in an attempt to stay in balance and return to the centre. This was a clear indication of the need for inner balance in the journey towards freedom. While the sphere on top represents heaven, or the spiritual realm, the one below represents earth, or the physical realm. The colour pink denotes the higher heart, vibrating with Love, compassion, sweetness and humility, while green signifies the heart chakra, carrying the energies of healing and growth.
Numerologically, the number 9 carries many meanings, endings, freedom and possibility being the most significant especially for the purpose of this mandala. Overall, the number 9 is a symbol for the energetic vibration of wisdom, release, graduation, healing, letting go, destiny, and freedom. The number 9 is the last single digit, and as such, symbolizes completion and an ending of karmic cycles. According to astrologers, it is the peak of life’s expression and radiates a major culmination energy, while representing the liminal space of an ending and a new beginning just around the corner. It implies that the time has arrived to release and let go of the old in order to create space for new beginnings[2]. While letting go of one’s old selves, beliefs and patterns and surrendering to the unknown can be daunting, the call of number 9 is to embrace the endings that are on the horizon as they are creating space for the energies that are more in alignment with one’s true self and who one is meant to become. With karma at its core, the number 9 represents humanitarianism and serves as a reminder to do good for others, as doing so helps to level the karmic scales, yet another pointer towards the need for balance. As a number of life purpose, number 9 is also linked to spiritual development as an individual as well as to one’s higher calling and mission on earth, which speak directly to the present growth stage of my client.
Finally, the sigil that I was given specifically to symbolize and emit the energy of Freedom includes the following elements and accompanying messages:
- The arrow – energy moving up; kundalini energy
- The crescent moon on top – releasing the old; setting intentions, initiating action, and connecting powerfully with dreams and aspirations; growth, transformation and new beginnings; hope and limitless potential; intuition and wisdom.
- The triangle – ‘Shiva’ of Shiva-Shakthi, the masculine principle of structure and stability, holding space for the creative force.
- The 3 spheres/circles inside the triangle – balancing of energy: the 2 spheres on either side are ‘anchored’ to the triangle with the curved shape above them, creating stability for the sphere in the middle. The sphere also represents ‘Shakthi’ of Shiva-Shakthi, i.e., the feminine energy of creation/manifestation, while 3 is the number of expansion.
- The spiral in the middle – latent energy (potential)
- The 2 dots – atoms that are moving; movement; creation in motion
- The 2 half spirals at the bottom – stability and grounding
In essence, the sigil is depicting freedom as an upward movement of energy towards growth, transformation and expansion, releasing the old and embracing the new, tapping into the latent potential within to set creation in motion to manifest the life of freedom and independence, while balancing the masculine and feminine (Shiva-Shakthi) energies within.
